Mr. Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Before joining the Government, Mr. Chan held a number of public service positions including member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Legal Aid Services Council.
Mr. Chan served as Secretary for Development from July 2012 to January 2017. He has been Financial Secretary since 2017.
Mr. Eddie Yue was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) from 1 October 2019. He began his career as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government in 1986. He joined the HKMA upon its establishment in 1993 and was promoted to Division Head a year later. He was appointed Executive Director in 2001 and subsequently Deputy Chief Executive in 2007 before taking up his current position.
Mr. Yue has participated in numerous areas of the HKMA’s work. During his tenure as Deputy Chief Executive, he steered major policies and initiatives relating to reserves management, research, external affairs and market development. Mr. Yue was also actively involved in tackling major financial crises and played an instrumental role in enhancing the Linked Exchange Rate System.
Anthony Bassili, CAIA is President of Coinbase Asset Management (“CBAM”), a subsidiary of Coinbase Inc. CBAM is a web3 asset manager building investment solutions and fund products for institutional investors globally. CBAM is an SEC registered Investment Advisor, regulated by the CFTC, and an NFA member.
Prior to joining CBAM, Mr. Bassili was Head of Allocators & Tokenization for Coinbase Institutional. In this role, he was responsible for managing relationships with global financial institutions, advising on investment solutions related to digital asset hedge fund and venture strategies, tokenization, and facilitating capital introductions. His Clients covered single and multi-family offices, Endowments & Foundations, Consultants, Pensions, and Sovereign Wealth Funds globally.
Prior to joining Coinbase, Mr. Bassili served as Head of Pensions for BlackRock iShares where he helped allocators develop active and niche strategies across public and private asset classes. Prior to leading the iShares business, he spent more than a decade leading business development, investment strategy, and as a portfolio manager within the global trading platform at BlackRock.
Mr. Bassili is a contributor to digital asset education with the AIF Institute Center for Financial Innovation, the Global Interdependence Center (GIC), and the Chartered Alternative Investment Management Association (CAIA). He advises Web3.0 startups and is an active early stage investor.

James joined in November 2011 and is Investment Director for emerging market equity strategies and Head of Investment Directors and Specialists. Within his role, he oversees the team of investment directors and specialists supporting all equity and fixed income products. He joined from Fidelity Worldwide Investments, where he was product director for emerging markets equities from October 2005 until May 2011. He previously worked at Threadneedle Investments in investment communications. James has a degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Joshua Crabb is Head of Asia-Pacific Equities and responsible for managing the Asia-Pacific equites team. He is also Portfolio Manager of Robeco Asia- Pacific Equities, Robeco Asian Stars Equities and Robeco Sustainable Asian Stars Equities.
Before joining Robeco in 2018, Joshua was Head of Asian Equities at Old Mutual and Portfolio Manager at BlackRock and Prudential in Hong Kong. He started his career in the investment industry as Sector Analyst at BT Financial Group in 1996.

Gunther Jost is a Managing Director and Head GWM Alternatives Specialists APAC for Unified Global Alternatives at UBS. He has over 23 years of experience in the financial industry with focus on advising both institutional and private investors on Alternative Investments. Before joining UBS, Gunther was Head of Sales & Marketing and a member of the Management Committee at SAIL Advisors, a Hong Kong-headquartered Fund of Hedge Funds. Prior to that, he was a Senior Product Specialist for Alternative Investments at Union Alternative Assets, a subsidiary of German Asset Manager Union Investment, where he advised institutional investors on investments in Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Structured Credit. William (Bill) Fong is a Managing Director Senior Advisor and Head of Alternatives Specialists Asia & Middle East for Bank Julius Baer.
Bill joined Bank Julius Baer in 2013 bringing extensive experience in private equity from his tenure as a partner with Investor Growth Capital at Investor AB. His prior experience includes roles as an Investment Manager at Lazard Asia, where he focused on buyouts, and as a Senior Associate at Buchalter, a California-based law firm, specialising in private credit and creditor rights.
He holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from Columbia University in Computer Science.
Iqbal Khan became President Global Wealth Management in 2022 and assumed the additional role of President UBS Asia Pacific on 1 September 2024. Previously, he was President UBS Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2021 to 2023. From 2019 until September 2022, he was Co-President Global Wealth Management.
Prior to joining UBS in 2019, Iqbal was at Credit Suisse where he held senior leadership positions as CFO Private Banking & Wealth Management and later CEO International Wealth Management. From 2001 to 2013, Iqbal held numerous leadership positions at Ernst & Young, where he was one of the youngest partners of the firm’s Swiss arm.
Iqbal holds an Advanced Master of International Business Law degree (LLM) from the University of Zurich. In addition, he is a Certified International Investment Analyst, a Swiss Certified Public Accountant, a Swiss Certified Trustee, a Member of the Board of the UBS Optimus Foundation and a Member of the Board of Trustees of Lucerne Festival.
Vivien is the CEO of Private Wealth Management Association (“PWMA”) with close to three decades of experience in wealth management, digital assets, crypto research, compliance and regulatory oversight.
Vivien spent close to two decades at Goldman Sachs, where she was the Managing Director of Goldman Sachs’ Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Compliance division. At Goldman Sachs, Vivien was involved in various market and regulatory reforms, she was also an ex regulator at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission earlier on in her career.
Prior to joining the PWMA, she was the Chairwoman and co-founder of the Asia Crypto Alliance, an industry association promoting a sustainable ecosystem for virtual asset providers in Asia. After a long career in senior compliance and regulatory roles, Vivien moved into the digital asset industry in 2019 where she was the Global Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO at a leading crypto derivatives exchange. She also held senior roles at various major digital wealth management and crypto firms, including StashAway and Delphi Digital. Vivien serves on the Regulatory Subcommittee of the Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development established by the Government of HKSAR in 2023, chaired by the Financial Secretary with participation of key government officials and financial regulators.
As a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Vivien was a key sponsor for female programs at different levels during her time at Goldman Sachs. Kyle is a managing director in the Client Solutions Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He serves as global head of Alternatives for Third Party Wealth (TPW), overseeing client strategy for the firm’s TPW clients globally, delivering the power of the Alternatives investing platform to a broad set of individual investors through our partnerships with financial intermediary clients and their advisors, including Private Banks, Broker-Dealers, RIAs and other distribution platforms. Karen frequently moderates panels and keynotes, and emcees a range of events, from corporate conferences to NGO fundraisers. Karen also conducts media and presentation skills training for clients in all sectors.

Amy Lo is Chairman, Global Wealth Management Asia, Co-Head of Wealth Management Asia Pacific, Head and Chief Executive of UBS Hong Kong, and a Managing Director at UBS.
Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA). John is co-head of global Private Wealth Management (PWM) at Goldman Sachs. Previously, John was head of Americas PWM and global head of the Institutional Client Solutions business, which provides outsourced CIO solutions for nonprofits and other institutional clients. Before that, he was head of the Investment Management Division’s West Region, including PWM in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Earlier in his career, John was head of PWM for the Florida region, including coverage of Latin America. Before assuming management responsibilities, he led a New York-based private wealth team.
Before joining Goldman Sachs in 1998, John worked at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York and Hong Kong. John is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is former vice chair of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, where he served on both the Executive Committee and as chairman of the Finance and Investment Committee. John is also a former trustee of the John Thomas Dye School, where he served as Investment Committee chair and a member of the Executive Committee.

Franco Morra, Founder and Managing Director of winsight, holds a Marketing Master and a PhD in Economics and Health Care Management of the University of St. Gallen (Dr. oec. HSG).
At HSBC from 2010 to 2018 he radically transformed and made the Private Banking Business fit for the future, holding various Senior Management Positions such as Regional CEO EMEA, CEO Private Banking Switzerland, Chairman of the Board of Asset Management Switzerland as well as Country Manager Switzerland. Doug Ostrover is Co-Chief Executive Officer of Blue Owl Capital Inc. and the chairman of the firm’s board of directors. Doug is also the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a Co-Chief Investment Officer for each of the Blue Owl Credit Advisers. Previously, Doug co-founded Owl Rock Capital Partners, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Credit platform.
Prior to co-founding Owl Rock, Doug was a founder of GSO Capital Partners (GSO), Blackstone’s alternative credit platform, and was a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone until 2015. Prior to co-founding GSO in 2005, Doug was a Managing Director and Chairman of the Leveraged Finance Group of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). Prior to his role as Chairman, he was Global Co-Head of CSFB’s Leveraged Finance Group, during which he was responsible for all of CSFB’s origination, distribution, and trading activities relating to high yield securities, leveraged loans, high yield credit derivatives, and distressed securities. Doug joined CSFB in November 2000 when CSFB acquired Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (“DLJ”), where he was a Managing Director in charge of High Yield and Distressed Sales, Trading and Research. He was a member of DLJ’s high yield team since he joined the firm in 1992.

Jean Eric Salata is the Chairperson of EQT in Asia. Jean started the regional Asian private equity investment program for UK-based Baring Private Equity Partners Ltd in 1997 and later led the management buyout of this program in 2000 to establish BPEA as an independent Firm. He has since been responsible for the investment activity of BPEA until 2022, when the company joined forces with EQT.
Prior to BPEA, Jean was a Director of Hong Kong-based AIG Global Investment Corporation (Asia) Ltd., the Asian private equity investment arm of AIG. Prior to that, Jean was the Executive Vice President of Finance of Shiu Wing Steel, a Hong Kong-based industrial concern, and prior to that a management consultant with Bain & Company based in Hong Kong, Sydney, and Boston.

Arnaud Tellier is CEO, Asia at BNP Paribas Wealth Management and leads a regional team of around 1,000 private banking professionals across key markets in Asia.
In his role, Arnaud defines the strategic direction of the business while overseeing its day-to-day management. Arnaud is passionate about the business; his hands-on approach ensures clients and their families can better navigate ever-changing markets in Asia, and across the world. Lok Yim is Regional Head, Global Private Banking, Asia Pacific, where he leads a team of dedicated wealth management professionals across the region to serve the wealth needs of business owners and their families.
Yim has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, spanning investment solutions and wealth management in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Yim joined HSBC from Deutsche Bank in November 2023, where he was most recently CEO of Deutsche Bank AG, Hong Kong Branch, responsible for the management and governance of the bank’s business and operations in Hong Kong. During his 16-year tenure with the bank, he has held senior positions in investment solutions, wealth management and private banking.
Prior to that, Lok spent over 11 years at Citigroup where he served in both a wealth management and investment bank banking capacity.
Yim holds a Master of Arts degree from Gonville and Caius College at University of Cambridge. He is based in Hong Kong.
Dr. Eric Yip is a member of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). He is also an Executive Director heading the Intermediaries Division, which comprises the Intermediaries Supervision and Licensing departments. The Division is primarily responsible for administering licensing requirements and conducting ongoing supervision of licensed corporations with a focus on their business conduct and financial soundness.
Dr. Yip is a seasoned financial professional having in-depth knowledge of the operation and regulation of the financial markets in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Prior to joining the SFC, he held senior roles in banking, asset management and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. He began his career as a Management Consultant at McKinsey and Company.
Dr. Yip sits on the SFC’s Executive Committee.
Patrick Yip, an experienced international tax specialist, is Asia Vice Chair of Mishcon de Reya LLP. He is formerly Deloitte China's Vice Chair. He specializes in US international taxation, China-Hong Kong cross-border taxation and structuring M&A transactions. He advises high-net-worth individuals on multi-jurisdictional trust and estate planning. In addition, he is a specialist in FATCA and CRS.
Patrick worked for a Big 4 accounting firm's International Tax Group in San Francisco and Deloitte's National Tax Office (International) in Washington DC. He was involved in tax policy discussions with both the Hong Kong and Chinese tax authorities. He is fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). He is both a CPA (USA and Hong Kong) and an attorney-at-law (California). He is an adjunct professor at the University of Hong Kong.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an MPA Degree in Taxation and a BBA Degree in Accounting with High Honors. He has an LL.M (Master of Laws) degree from Columbia University (James Kent Scholar), an LL.M degree from the University of California at Berkeley (Dean's List) and an undergraduate law degree (Hons) from the University of Cambridge. He also has an MBA degree (Hons) from the University of Chicago.
John Zito is Co-President of Apollo Asset Management, co-leading all investing activity and day-to-day management of the Firm’s asset management business. John is also the Head of Credit and a member of Apollo’s Leadership Team. Prior to joining Apollo in 2012, John served as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Brencourt Advisors and previously spent five years as a Portfolio Manager at Veritas Fund Group.
