Daniel Bürgin

Representative Director, NYSE Japan K.K., Tokyo

Daniel Bürgin is currently the CEO of NYSE Technologies Asia Pacific and Representative Director for NYSE Japan K.K., Tokyo.

Prior to the acquisition of Metabit Co., Ltd, by NYSE Euronext Group in August 2011, Daniel was, from 2001 to September 2011, the CEO of Metabit, a specialist software provider offering low-latency DMA solutions to institutional buy sides. Metabit is now a product line within NYSE Technologies, Asia Pacific.

Before joining Metabit, Daniel had been with UBS Securities Japan from 1995 to 2001 and his last position was Executive Director of Equities IT Asia Pacific. He worked at Union Bank of Switzerland, Zurich as Assistant Vice President, Senior Project Manager from 1989 to 1995, responsible for implementation of equities and equity derivatives trading systems. Before that, he worked at Robert Fleming Co., Ltd, Geneva from 1985 to 1989.

Daniel was born in Switzerland in 1963, and he studied in Economics in Switzerland.

   
   
HyunJin Choi

Mr. Choi HyunJin is currently the CEO of VITCOM (Vision Information Technology Co.). Ever since its foundation in 1999 in Korea, VITCOM has specialized in designing and developing Application Development Frameworks that increase the productivity of securities companies IT system. Mr. Choi joined VITCOM in 2006, and before that, he has held posts that require specialization in the securities industry, such as Financial Industry SI sales manager at HP Korea, Financial LOB manager at Compaq Korea, Financial Industry sales and Technical support manager at DEC Korea, Securities Industry System Analyst at Unisys Korea.

Mr. Choi was born in Seoul in 1957 and has a BSc in computer science.

   
   
Ofir Gefen
Head of Research & Liquidity Management
ITG Asia Pacific

Ofir Gefen is the Head of ITG’s Research & Liquidity Management in Asia Pacific. In this role he manages ITG's world-leading pre- and post trade analytics products including ITG TCA and Logic, and oversees client consultation around strategic trading techniques. Mr. Gefen is also responsible for ITG Asia Pacific algorithmic and liquidity sourcing products. Mr. Gefen has worked at ITG for over 10 years and in this time has developed experience across the regions through roles in product development and execution services in Europe, the US and now Asia Pacific. Prior to joining ITG he worked at Intel for a number of years. He holds a BSc in Information Systems Engineering and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

   
   
Josephine Kim

Josephine Kim is a Director in charge of the South East Asia Execution Sales for BofA. Prior to BofA, Josephine was at Credit Suisse working for both Hong Kong and Singapore offices covering North East and South East Asia based clients. She has earned Bachelors in Economics from University of London and Masters in Accounting and Finance from City Business School in UK

   
   
Hanno Klein
FPL Global Technical Committee Co-Chair and
Senior Vice President, Deutsche Börse Group

Hanno Klein is Senior Vice President at Deutsche Börse Group which also provides the technology for Eurex, its main derivatives exchange. He joined the company in 1997 and worked in various positions and projects of strategic and operational nature in Germany and the USA. From 2001 to 2005, he served as Vice President of Deutsche Boerse Systems Inc. in Chicago.

In June 2006, he helped to re-establish the FPL Exchanges/ECN Working Group (EEWG) which was elevated to the FPL Global Exchanges and Markets Committee (GExMC) in September 2007 and co-chaired by him since then. He is co-chair of the FPL Global Technical Committee (GTC) since July 2010 and a member of the FPL Global Steering Committee (GSC).

The GExMC seeks to enable and promote the harmonized usage of FIX by exchanges and other marketplaces. An increased adoption of FIX by this group of users requires a focus on performance together with a true standardization.

   
   
Edward Mangles

Mr. Edward Mangles is the founder and Publisher of FIXGlobal, the official publication of the FIX Protocol. He has a long history within the financial technology sector and has worked closely with FPL for a number of years. He has supported the organisation’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 9 years, playing a key role in promoting FIX adoption across the region. He has also worked for leading financial publishing and marketing firms in both London and Hong Kong. In March 09 Mr. Edward Mangles was appointed FPL Asia Pacific Regional Director.

Mr. Perez has been featured on CNBC Cash Flow (with Oriel Morrison), BNN Business Day with Kim Parlee, TheStreet.com (with Gregg Greenberg), Channel NewsAsia (with Lin Xue Ling), iMoney Hong Kong, Hedge Fund Brief, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Dallas Morning News and Los Angeles Times. He has been engaged as speaker at Harvard Business School’s 17th Annual Venture Capital & Private Equity Conference, High-Frequency Trading Leaders Forum 2011 (New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Singapore), CFA Singapore, Hong Kong Securities Institute, Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University (New York), Global Growth Markets Forum (London), Middle East Hedge Funds Investors Summit 2012 (Dubai, UAE), among other global forums.

Mr. Perez was a vice president at Citigroup, a senior consultant at IBM, and a consultant at McKinsey & Co. in New York City. Mr. Perez has an undergraduate degree from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Lima, Peru (1994), a Master of Administration from Universidad ESAN, Lima, Peru (1997) and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School, with a dual major in Finance and Management (2002). He belongs to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Mr. Perez resides in the New York City area and is an accomplished salsa and hustle dancer.

   
   
Kyung Yoon

Kyung Yoon is currently a Division Manager for the Financial Investment IT Division of Koscom.

He was a Division Manager for the Exchange IT Division and the Industry Infrastructure Division and now he is responsible for PowerBase, IT solutions for financial companies and ledger management service for securities firms in Korea.

With over 27 years of widespread experience, he has extensive knowledge in the financial information technology industry.

He has earned Bachelors in Statistics and Master in Computer Engineering from Korea University.
