Mr. Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining the Government, Mr. Chan held a number of public service positions including member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Legal Aid Services Council.

Mr. Chan served as Secretary for Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government from July 2012 to January 2017. He was appointed Financial Secretary on 16 January, 2017.

Julia Leung, SBS
Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Intermediaries
Securities and Futures Commission

Ms. Leung is a member of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). She is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director with responsibility for the Intermediaries Division, which comprises the Intermediaries Supervision and Licensing departments. That Division is primarily responsible for administering licensing requirements and conducting ongoing supervision of licensed corporations with a focus on their business conduct and financial soundness. Ms. Leung was Executive Director responsible for the Investment Products Division from March 2015 to June 2016.

Prior to joining the SFC, Ms. Leung was the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury from August 2008 to December 2013. Before that, she worked with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) for 14 years, spending the last eight years as the Executive Director responsible for establishing offshore renminbi business development, financial cooperation with Mainland and other international regulators.

Arthur Yuen, JP

Arthur Yuen is in charge of the full range of banking policy, supervision, conduct, and enforcement issues at the HKMA. He joined the HKMA in 1996 as Head of Administration and has since taken up different responsibilities including research and liaison on China economic and market development issues before being appointed Head of Banking Supervision in 2000. He took up the position as Executive Director (Banking Development) in July 2004, Executive Director (Banking Supervision) in June 2005 and Executive Director (External) in July 2008. He was appointed to his present position on 1 January 2010.

Nicolas Aguzin

Nicolas Aguzin is CEO of J.P. Morgan’s International Private Bank and a member of the Operating Committee for the firm’s Asset & Wealth Management business.

Aguzin has held leadership roles spanning lines of business and geographies during his 30 years with J.P. Morgan, including serving as Chairman and CEO for the Asia Pacific region from 2012 to 2020. Previously, he was CEO of J.P. Morgan Latin America, where he also had direct responsibility for Investment Banking Coverage, Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets in the region, and was the firm’s Brazil Senior Country Officer. Aguzin joined J.P. Morgan in 1990 as a financial analyst and held increasingly senior investment banking roles in New York and Buenos Aires before relocating to Hong Kong.

Aguzin is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Asia Society and Eisenhower Fellowships. He also serves on the Board of Directors for MercadoLibre, Inc, Latin America's leading e-commerce company, and is a member of the Asia Pacific Council of The Nature Conservancy.

Aguzin holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.

Alain Bernasconi

Alain Bernasconi is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Asia Pacific Division, based in Singapore. He is the Chief Operating Officer of Private Banking Asia Pacific since March 2019 and the Head of Private Banking Singapore Location.

As the COO of Private Banking Asia Pacific, Alain partners with the business heads to develop and implement strategic business, product and infrastructure initiatives across the region. He oversees the definition of the business financial plans and manages initiatives regarding Headcount and Expense management.

His department manages the business support activities across the region to enable and facilitate front-to back business processes, and is responsible for the definition of the target operating model and the implementation of key framework such as AML and Investment Suitability.

Together with his team, he defines and oversees the business control landscape, and partners with Front Office to maintain a sound risk culture and a compliant business.

Alain actively partners with Change functions to digitalize the business and steer the change activities of the region, and is the sponsor of key regional projects.

He is a key member of the PB APAC Executive Committee and the chairperson of key APAC meetings such as the PB APAC Business Risk Committee Meeting.

As Head of Private Banking Singapore Location, Alain is responsible for the oversight of the Private Banking businesses and regulatory-related activities of the Private Banking employees based in Singapore. Alain represents Private Banking in the Singapore Management Committee and other country governance meetings and works with our stakeholders to manage and strengthen the relationship with the local regulator.

Alain first started his career in Credit Suisse Switzerland in 2000. He moved to Singapore in 2002 and became a Relationship Manager progressing then to a Team Leader and eventually a deputy Market Leader. In 2007, he moved to New York to attend the Executive MBA program of Columbia Business School and worked part time with Credit Suisse Private Banking in New York. In 2009, he joined Credit Suisse in Milan as COO for Private Banking Italy, the largest onshore operations of the bank's Private Banking division in Europe. In 2012, Alain joined Credit Suisse Asia Pacific as COO of Private Banking Southeast Asia.

Mr. Bernasconi holds a MBA from Columbia Business School and Master of Arts in Economics and Social Sciences from University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Brit Blakeney

Brit Blakeney is Executive Director, Innovation and Ecosystems, Consumer Banking Group. Brit is a digital executive with over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining DBS, Brit was a Director at Dun & Bradstreet, leading its digital transformation. She has also held senior positions at major media and internet companies, such as AOL and Univision, and helped launch and run several successful internet and financial startups. Brit holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. She is on the digital banking committee of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, a member of Women in Tech Hong Kong, and is a regular speaker at industry events across Asia.

Fan Choi

Fan Choi is the Head of Wealth Planning, North Asia, based in Hong Kong.

With over 25 years of experience in serving Ultra High Net-worth Individuals and Families across multiple jurisdictions, Fan provides clients with advice and guidance on matters relating to estate planning, succession, asset protection, liquidity planning, trust and other fiduciary structure planning and administration, relocation, family governance and family business succession issues.

Prior to joining UBP, Fan practiced as a private client lawyer and was a partner in the Private Capital Group of the Hong Kong Branch of a major London international law firm. After leaving legal practice, Fan joined the Hong Kong branch of a large French private bank as Head of Asia Trust and Structure Administration, covering both Hong Kong and Singapore.

Fan holds a Latin Legum Baccalaureus from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as well as a Certified Trust Practitioner (CTP) awarded by the Hong Kong Trustees Association. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising (ACFBA) and Certificate in Family Wealth Advising (CFWA) awarded by the Family Firm Institute Inc., Boston, USA (FFI).

Nelson Chow

Mr. Nelson Chow is Managing Director of AllianceBernstein Hong Kong Limited, where he is responsible for fund distribution in Hong Kong and China QDII.

Mr. Chow has extensive experience in the industry and led the team to win the Best Retail House Award 2016, 2018 & 2020 (Asia Asset Management), Greenwich Quality Leader 2019 (Greenwich Associates), Fund House of the Year Award 2013 (Asian Investor) and Metro Finance Hong Kong Leader Choice Award – Excellent Brand of Fund Management 2013, 2014 & 2015.

Before joining AllianceBernstein in 2004, Mr. Chow was the Director of a U.K. asset management firm responsible for fund distribution in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Mr. Chow is the incumbent Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Fund Association and has been an Executive Committee Member since 2015.

He is recognized as one of the forefathers of wealth management’s open-architecture model and an entrepreneur who has helped to set up two of Asia’s largest wealth management platforms - Credit Suisse and Bank Julius Baer. Prior to Julius Baer, Mr. Ho was on the regional executive committee and the Head of Products for Credit Suisse Hong Kong. He began his career as an Investment Banker at Salomon Brothers where he worked for almost a decade. Previous to that, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. Inc.

Mr. Ho earned his Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is an active participant in the Asian business community. He sits on the Board for numerous companies, including being an active member of the Governor’s Advisory Board for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a member of the Church Council of Christ Church Hong Kong. Mr. Ho has a Bachelors Degree from James Madison University.

In 1984, Mr. Ho was a nominated All American in High School soccer. During his senior year, he was voted first team All-Region, first team All-State, first team All-Conference and voted “Delaware High School Player of the Year”. Mr. Ho played Division 1 soccer at James Madison University. He was also a 2-time, All-Conference High School tennis player.

Kenneth Hui

Kenneth Hui is the Head of Market Development Division of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), in charge of the HKMA’s efforts to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness as an international financial centre. Prior to joining the HKMA, Ken was a senior manager at the Investment Products Division of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), specialising in regulatory policies on retail funds and innovative retail investment products. During his time at the SFC, Ken was seconded to the Secretariat of the International Organization of Securities Commissions, where he was responsible for global OTC derivatives reforms.

Sumit Indwar

Sumit leads our Hong Kong SAR Financial Regulation Group. He advises on all aspects of Hong Kong SAR financial services legislation and regulation. He advises on the full range of regulatory issues including licensing, ongoing conduct of business issues, regulatory change implementation, product categorisation, governance within financial institutions, market misconduct and AML. Sumit covers all sectors of the Hong Kong SAR financial market (including under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, the Banking Ordinance, the Insurance Ordinance and the Money Lenders Ordinance). Sumit’s client base includes global and regional investment banks, asset managers, market makers, insurers, private equity houses and FinTech companies.

Sumit also provides support to the firm’s transactional teams on the regulatory aspects of M&A, corporate finance and banking transactions, including margin loans.

Sumit is heavily involved with industry bodies in the region. Through Linklaters’ membership of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) and the Asian Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA), he regularly helps the industry prepare responses to regulatory consultations and assists with lobbying on issues of industry concern.

Prior to joining the Hong Kong team, Sumit was based in the firm’s London office where he regularly advised financial institutions on wide-ranging UK and EU regulatory change projects, including on the implementation of the second Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), the European Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), the UK Senior Managers and Certification Regime, the UK ring-fencing regime (on which he was seconded to a major retail bank for six months) and the second European Payments Services Directive. This experience allows him to advise Asian-based clients on the extraterritorial effects of UK and European regulation.

Karsten Kemna

Karsten Kemna joined CREALOGIX Asia-Pacific in mid-April 2020 as the new Managing Director and is responsible for the growth plan and the strategic development of CREALOGIX in this exciting region. Prior to CREALOGIX, he spent most of his career at Diebold Nixdorf (formerly Wincor Nixdorf), an IT solution provider for banks, as the leader of the company’s banking division in Asia Pacific. During this time he helped Nixdorf to achieve a significant market position while at the same time diversifying the business towards software and services. Most recently, Kemna was Managing Director of the core banking software company ERI Bancaire in Asia-Pacific.

Kamran M. Khan
Head of ESG for Asia Pacific

Kamran Khan is Deutsche Bank’s Head of ESG for Asia Pacific, with responsibility for defining and executing the bank’s ESG strategy across all business divisions in the region. He is a member of the Global Sustainability Council of Deutsche Bank.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Khan established Infra-Tech Capital, an impact fund investing in companies utilizing technology to provide infrastructure services and achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals. He was also appointed by the Obama White House to serve as the head of global investments and operations at the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, where he managed a USD 10bn portfolio and led a USD 1.5-2bn annual investment program globally.

Previously, Mr. Khan held senior executive roles at the World Bank and helped establish the World Bank Group regional hub in Singapore, comprising the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Multilateral Insurance & Guarantee Agency (MIGA). Prior to his time at the World Bank, Mr. Khan worked on M&A transactions and advisory mandates at JP Morgan and LEK. He also served as a US Foreign Service Officer with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), where he led operations for the project finance and guarantees facility.

Mr. Khan served as an Advisor on Infrastructure Finance to APEC, ASEAN, and the G-20. He is a member of the Senior Advisory Board at Fudan University Fintech Centre in Shanghai with a mandate to advise on Belt and Road Initiative projects. He has also served on the Board of Advisors at a variety of market-leading companies using technology to achieve ESG goals. He is a frequent speaker at events such as World Economic Forum, ASEAN Summit, APEC Summit, and in major international media.

Mr. Khan holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an MS in Applied Economics and Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his BS in Economics from George Mason University.

Eugenia Koh

Eugenia Koh is Head of Sustainable/Impact Investing and Engagement Strategy at Standard Chartered Bank. She is also a key member of the global Strategic Solutions Proposition team, which works closely to help frontline colleagues drive an increased focus on the private bank’s top, next and new 100 clients globally.

In her role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of the sustainable investing proposition for clients, alongside driving overall client and employee engagement. As part of client engagement, she runs the Future Global Leaders Programme, developed specifically for the bank’s ultra-high-net-worth next generation clients.

Prior to joining the Bank, she worked in the COO team at Barclays, and was responsible for communications, client insights, employee engagement for the private bank in Asia, Middle East and Africa. She was also tasked with evaluating and exploring the implementation of an impact investing platform for Barclays in Asia.

She started her career at Weber Shandwick, and worked on a number of award winning public relations campaigns spanning thought leadership to corporate social responsibility.

She is author of “Dawn Kwan. Art Awakening”, a chronicle of child prodigy Dawn Kwan’s journey as a child artist, which is available in all National Libraries in Singapore.

Chi Man Kwan

Chi Man Kwan is the CEO and Founder of Raffles Family Office (RFO). Mr. Kwan founded Raffles Capital Holdings in 2014 and later expanded the company to include Raffles Assets Management, Raffles Properties and Raffles Corporate Services.

As the CEO of RFO, Mr. Kwan oversees the strategic development and management of RFO’s business. He has over 15 years of banking and management experience in various international financial institutions. Prior to this, he was a private banker at BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered Bank.

Mr. Kwan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management from Lancaster University.

Irene is the Compliance Director in UBS AG who brings a wealth of expertise and leads in various areas such as regulatory technology (Regtech), wealth management product compliance, regulatory change governance. She is a talented and seasoned executive with over 10 years of extensive compliance experiences in financial sectors including private bank, commercial bank and insurance company. Ms. Lee has spearheaded compliance efforts in the bank's digitalization and Regtech initiatives. Ms. Lee's primary interests lie in the application of Regtech solutions in the Greater Bay Area to aid compliance monitoring and data analytics.

Jimmy Kong Eng Lee

Jimmy Lee is Head Asia Pacific of Bank Julius Baer responsible for overseeing the development and management of the Julius Baer franchise in Asia. Joining the firm in 2015, he was also appointed a Member of the Executive Board from 2016.

Having worked at Credit Suisse Group for a total of eleven years, Jimmy was most recently Market Group Head Hong Kong at Credit Suisse. Previously, he acted as Chief Executive Officer Asia of Clariden Leu from 2009 to 2012 and headed the integration of the bank into Credit Suisse in the Asia Pacific region in 2012/13. Prior to that, he was Head Private Wealth Management Southeast Asia / South Asia at Deutsche Bank for five years and also held a number of other top management positions in the financial industry in Asia.

Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours from the National University of Singapore.

Amy Lo is Co-Head of Wealth Management Asia Pacific, Head and Chief Executive of UBS Hong Kong, and a Group Managing Director at UBS. Amy has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Since joining UBS in 1995, she has held a number of senior management positions including Regional Head of Ultra High Net Worth in Asia. Today, the ultra-high net worth business is the leading wealth manager for ultra-high net worth individuals in the region.

Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA), and is a member of the Policy Research Committee of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council (FSDC). She is also a member of the Banking Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, and a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Paul has over 15 years’ experience in Hong Kong serving a wide range of financial institutions, having previously worked for KPMG in the UK for eight years.

As the Head of Banking & Capital Markets, Paul has worked with a variety of clients in Hong Kong and across Asia advising them on a range of matters. Paul’s clients comprise institutions in retail/commercial banking, private wealth management and investment banking with a particular focus on international groups’ operations in Asia. Paul has worked extensively on the audits of large financial institutions in Hong Kong and regularly advised on financial reporting matters.

Daniel Yu

Daniel finished his 10-year tenure at Overseas Chinese Banking Corporation, as the Treasurer for the Hong Kong Branch. Sascha Zehnter

Sascha Zehnter is Managing Director and Head of External Asset Managers (EAM) Asia Pacific for Credit Suisse Private Banking. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the development and growth of the EAM business in Asia Pacific.

Mr. Zehnter has been with the EAM business for more than 10 years and was instrumental in shaping and developing the EAM business in Central, Northern and Southern Europe. He was also responsible for developing the Private Label Fund business in Luxembourg.

Mr. Zehnter joined Credit Suisse in 2002 as Head of EAM Market Germany, after having worked at Deutsche Bank as Head of the Wealth Management Department.

Prior to that, Mr. Zehnter worked as a fully licensed independent asset manager in Germany from 1998 to 2002. He brings with him over 20 years of global banking and asset management experience across a wide spectrum of senior management and client coverage roles.
