The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers will host the inaugural "Technology and Operations Forum in Banking and Finance" this May 3rd. This new initiative of HKIB aims to reinforce and strengthen our coverage on the area of Operation Management and IT and provide a platform for the industry to discuss the latest issues. This is timely and highly relevant to the banking industry as Information Technology plays an even more important role as a business enabler rather than as a support function.

Over the years, declining margins, regulatory compliance, growing pressure in improvement bottom line are driving financial institutions to rely more and more on technology. This also drives the industry to seek innovate ways to deliver services, enhance customer experiences, creating new revenue streams as well as to gain more visibility of their operations.

This forum, though the group of leading speakers and panelists, will address the changing needs of the industry and provides valuable insight into the present and future solutions.
