Areas of Practice

Mr. Liu Zhigang is a partner, specializing in banking, international finance, derivative products and investment practice.

Mr. Liu advises various domestic and foreign banks in extensive banking business, including general banking business, credit facility transactions, trade finance, compliance system and standard documentation, etc.

Mr. Liu has rich experience in the international finance area. He has involved in a lot of financing transactions covering the export credit loan, commercial loan, syndication loan, bond issuance and M&A finance. In the project finance area, Mr. Liu has represented either the lender or the borrower in various projects covering the infrastructure, energy, mine, oil and gas and other resources, etc.

Mr. Liu has participated in various projects of investment by the foreign investors in Chinese commercial banks and conversion of bank institutions, and the legal services include: commenting on the transaction and providing proposal, assisting in improvement of corporate governance mechanism, drafting relevant documents and participating in negotiation, implementing due diligence and issuing legal opinion.

Mr. Liu has considerable experience in the derivative instrument area. He has reviewed several dozens of agreements and documents in relation to the derivative products transaction for different banks and corporations and issued opinions on the legal issues with respect to such transactions.

Work Experience

Mr. Liu joined King & Wood in 2003. Before joining King & Wood, he worked in International Business Department and Treasury Department of China Construction Bank, H.O for many years , focusing on international finance, international settlement, derivative instruments and treasury business.

Mr. Liu gained his LLM from the International Economic Laws Institute, Nan Kai University. He was admitted as Chinese lawyer in 1996. Mr. Liu is proficient in Chinese and English.

岑秉权先生现任凯捷中国副总裁并专注于金融服务行业业务。岑秉权先生在银行和咨询领域有超过25年的服务经验。加入凯捷中国前，岑秉权先生曾经任职于德勤和IBM，并曾负责香港地区国有银行财富管理业务优化项目。岑秉权先生曾任中国惠泽(Advantage China)公司的首席运营官，该公司参与向中国多家银行提供住房按揭的专业风险审核外包服务。岑秉权先生曾在美国大通银行(Chase Manhattan Bank)任职超过17年并担任过多项高级管理职务，其后成为香港首家网络银行丰明银行(Mevas Bank)的首席运营官。岑秉权先生毕业于加拿大多伦多大学并获得MBA及工业工程学位。

Mr. Shum recently joined Capgemini China as Vice President focusing on the financial sector. Mr. Shum has 25 years of banking and consulting experience. Before joining Capgemini, Mr. Shum was engaged in consulting business with Deloitte and previously IBM Consulting where he was in charge of revitalizing the wealth management business in Hong Kong for a state-owned bank. Mr. Shum was also the COO for an outsourcing company, Advantage China, which involved in the provision of professional origination and underwriting services to banks in China. Mr. Shum gained extensive banking experience with his 17 years at the Chase Manhattan Bank where he held various executive positions before he became COO for the Mevas Bank, the first internet bank in HK back in 1999. Mr Shum graduated from University of Toronto in MBA and Industrial Engineering.
