Overview

Since its launch in 2009, the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers Annual Banking Conference has quickly become one of the most important banking events in Hong Kong. This flagship event attracted over 500 delegates from over 100 institutions including bankers from Mainland China and Macau. This year's event will continue to look at the most pressing issues of the industry.

Exploring the timely theme, "Finding the New Winning Formula", this 1-day conference will discuss how the banking industry should evolve to tackle recurring challenges such as the high cost-to-income ratio, a lack of suitable talent and evolving regulatory requirements. Our expert speakers and panelists will also deal with emerging issues, like the rapidly growth of mobile channels, changing customer expectations, competition from innovative non-bank competitors and China’s declining economic growth.

In the format of presentations and lively discussions featuring more than 30 banking executives, the conference will examine what banks must do to reinvent themselves, both in terms of business lines and organizational structure, to capitalize on new opportunities like the Qianhai SEZ and RMB internationalization.

With a main plenary session in the morning and specialized streams in the afternoon, the event is specifically tailored for mid-senior level banking professionals looking for macro views and actionable takeaways.

We look forward to seeing you there.
