Dr. Bai Shuo
CTO

Dr. Bai graduated from Beijing University with a PHD degree in 1990. He has made research in the Department of Mathematics as a post doctor in Beijing University between 1990 and 1992. Dr. Bai has worked in Institute of Computing Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences in different positions including Assistant Research fellow, research fellow, PHD student instructor, Director of research department, Chief Scientist of software. Between 2000 and 2002, he worked in Ministry of Information Industry, participated in building CNCERT/CC. Since 2002, Dr. Bai worked in Shanghai Stock Exchange as Chief Engineer, Assistant to General Manager, Director of Technology Center, and led the major projects of the new transaction system and data warehouse. In 2003, he worked as the Vice Chairman of IT Committee of Securities Association of China and Vice Chairman of Securities Sub-committee of National Financial Standardization Committee.

   

Michael Caffi
Co-chair FPL TCA Working Group, and
VP and Manager of Global TCA Services, State Street Global Advisors

Michael is Vice President and Manager of the Global TCA Services group in the Global Trading division at State Street Global Advisors in Boston. He is responsible for all facets of Transaction Cost Analysis and centralized TCA reporting services to support Global Trading and Portfolio Management. Michael joined SSgA in 1995 as VP of Equity Trading Technology in the firm's IT division and spent 5 years overseeing the advancement and globalization of SSgA's electronic trading capabilities. After Y2K he moved into the trading area to start SSgA's TCA group in February 2000. Under Michael's direction, SSgA's TCA capabilities have grown to cover Equities, Futures, Foreign Exchange, and Fixed Income. Prior to SSgA, Michael spent 14 years as a software engineer at the econometrics firm Data Resources and two years at Harvard Management Company developing systems for fixed income portfolio management and trading.

Michael has been an active proponent of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Protocol and served as SSgA's representative on the FIX U.S. Steering Committee between 1997 and 2002. He was elected co-chair of that committee in 1999 and served on the FIX Board of Directors through 2002. He currently co-chairs the FIX-TCA Working Group which is establishing guidelines for standardizing best practices for the TCA industry.

Michael holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Daniel Webster College and a degree in Engineering Technology from Northeastern University.

   

Richard Coulstock

Richard Coulstock is Director, Head of Dealing for Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Limited (Formerly Prudential Asset Management (Singapore) Limited).

Prior to moving to Singapore seven years ago, Richard was Head of Asian Equity Dealing at ADIA for just over 4 years and before that he worked for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in Edinburgh. He currently heads up a team of 8 looking at multi-asset investments mainly in Asia but also in Latin America and Global Emerging Markets.

   

Albert J. Cristoforo
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
State Street Corporation

Mr. Albert "Jerry" Cristoforo is executive vice president and chief technology officer for State Street Corporation. Additionally, he is chairman and general manager of State Street Hangzhou (SSHZ), where he pioneered State Street's partnership with Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. SSHZ has grown to more than 1,800 staff members working exclusively on State Street software development, production support and fund accounting.

Mr. Cristoforo serves as a senior advisor to the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center (CFETS), a senior lecturer at the Zhejiang University College of Software Engineering. He recently published a book in co-operation with the Shanghai Finance University on "Proposals for Reform of China's Pension System".

Mr. Cristoforo is a senior computer/securities industry executive with in-depth technology and management experience in advanced distributed systems architecture, product development, workflow re-engineering, large-scale systems integration, and project management.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Northeastern University and has held the position of Master Lecturer in the Computer Science department of Boston University.

   
Fan Jing Wu 范径武

技术总监,恒生电子股份有限公司

范径武先生於1971年出生,先后毕业于上海华东理工大学、浙江大学化学工程硕士。1996年进入公司工作,历任证券行业技术总监、证券事业部副总经理、公司研发中心总经理、公司技术总监、公司副总裁等职,目前主要负责公司技术管理体系和产品管理体系的建设与发展。

   

George Jia 贾策

George Jia serves as China Business Manager for Omgeo. Mr. Jia is responsible for managing Omgeo’s China business with a focus on Sales, Relationship Management and Industry Relations. He has been with Omgeo since April 2009.

Mr. Jia joined Omgeo from Thomson Reuters, where he headed the China Expert Network business unit, focusing on providing primary research to the hedge fund industry. Prior to moving to the financial services industry, Mr. Jia spent nine years in the semiconductor industry working for Future Electronics, the world’s third largest semiconductor distributor. He held various positions in Montreal, the worldwide headquarters and Shanghai, including Regional Manager for Central China, managing a business with annual revenue over 80 million USD.

Mr. Jia holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

贾策现担任Omgeo中国区经理职务,主要负责Omgeo在中国地区的销售、客户关系以及行业关系工作。他于2009年4月加入Omgeo。贾策在加入Omgeo之前就职于汤森路透。他曾担任汤森路透中国专家团的负责人,主要负责开展为对冲基金行业提供直接调研的业务。在转入金融服务行业之前,他在电子元器件行业工作了9年,就职于富昌电子,全球第三大电子元器件分销商。贾策先后就职于富昌电子加拿大全球总部和上海办事处,曾担任中国华东区经理职务,负责管理每年超过8千万美金的业务。

Mark Maloney

Mark leads Deutsche Securities' Autobahn sales and marketing effort in electronic trading in Asian equity markets. He has been at Deutsche Bank Group for 7 years based in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Prior to that he held various sales and management positions at Sanford Bernstein LLC and Merrill Lynch in New York and Tokyo. He has concentrated his career on trading and execution, where he has run and managed groups in Listed Derivatives, Low-Touch (Portfolio Trading and Electronic Trading) as well as High-Touch (Sales Trading) particularly in cross-border contexts. He is a graduate of Harvard College and holds a CFA designation.

   
Edward Mangles

Mr. Edward Mangles is the founder and Publisher of GlobalTrading, the official publication of the FIX Protocol. He has a long history within the financial technology sector and has worked closely with FPL for a number of years. He has supported the organisation’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 10 years, playing a key role in promoting FIX adoption across the region. He has also worked for leading financial publishing and marketing firms in both London and Hong Kong. In March 09 Mr. Edward Mangles was appointed FPL Asia Pacific Regional Director.

   
Stewart Orrell

As Managing Director of Equinix Global Capital Markets, Stewart Orrell is responsible for global strategy as it relates to Capital Markets. He works regularly with clients to ensure they have insight and access to markets across the globe via Platform Equinix, and can leverage best of breed providers to enable their deployments. Stewart has 16 years experience in Capital Markets, including 10 years at Goldman Sachs London and New York offices, where he primarily focused on the architecture of network and market data systems, as well as business process implementation across multiple key technology platforms.

   
Gregory So 苏锦廉

Gregory So is Managing Director of Greater China for NYSE Technologies. In this role, he is leading sales and management for the Hong Kong, China and Taiwan markets. Gregory has worked in Hong Kong and Canada, with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, he provided to financial institutions a diverse range of solutions including global order routing and front to back trading solutions.

Prior to joining NYSE Technologies, Gregory worked for technology vendors such as Sungard, Reuters, Dow Jones Telerate and Primark, and held sales and sales management positions.

Gregory has a bachelor degree in Computer Science and Statistics from Newcastle University, and a MBA in Finance from the University of Manchester.

Gregory is based in our Hong Kong regional office.

Before he joined CIFM in Mar 2008, Michael has worked for JP Morgan Asset Management Taiwan as Head Dealer. He has very good experience to help a local desk to cope with increasing global trading needs.

   
Ping Xia 夏平

Mr. Xia is responsible for product research & development internally and establishing corporation with external partners to bring new product to market. He also oversees developing new or improve current trading framework for the company. Prior to the currently role, he worked in Goldman Sachs and UBS focusing on algorithmic trading and bond portfolio analysis.

   
Emily Yu 喻华丽
CTO, Director, IT Strategy and Planning Department, Shenzhen Stock Exchange
副总工程师,技术规划部总监,深圳证券交易所

Ms. Yu is CTO and Director of IT Strategy and Planning, Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Her responsibilities include development of the Exchange’s IT strategies and short-term IT planning, building the new trading system, and leading PMO, architecture management, IT quality control, and information security management. She joined the Exchange in 1993, and has 19 years of experience in planning and design and development of securities trading systems.

Ms. Yu received her MBA from Amoy University in 2003, and she graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1990.

喻华丽,现任深圳证券交易所副总工程师和技术规划部总监,全面负责深圳证券交易所技术发展战略和信息化规划、新版交易系统建设、IT项目与架构和质量全局管理、以及信息安全管理。她于1993年4月进入深圳证券交易所,具有19年的证券交易系统规划、设计、开发经验。

喻华丽1990年毕业于华中理工大学计算机系,2003年获厦门大学MBA。

   
Jane Yuan

Jane Yuan is Head of QFII Trading and Operation at Haitong Securities. Her team provides trade execution and sales trading service for dozens of QFIIs and international institutions. She joined Haitong’s QFII team in 2003 as one of the earliest QFII sales traders in China. Prior to this, Jane was a bond trader for 2 years.
