Dr. Bai Shuo

Dr. Bai graduated from Beijing University with a PHD degree in 1990. He has made research in the Department of Mathematics as a post doctor in Beijing University between 1990 and 1992. Dr. Bai has worked in Institute of Computing Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences in different positions including Assistant Research fellow, research fellow, PHD student instructor, Director of research department, Chief Scientist of software. Between 2000 and 2002, he worked in Ministry of Information Industry, participated in building CNCERT/CC. Since 2002, Dr. Bai worked in Shanghai Stock Exchange as Chief Engineer, Assistant to General Manager, Director of Technology Center, and led the major projects of the new transaction system and data warehouse. In 2003, he worked as the Vice Chairman of IT Committee of Securities Association of China and Vice Chairman of Securities Sub-committee of National Financial Standardization Committee.

   

Andy Chan

Andy Chan is an Executive Director and is responsible for Morgan Stanley's Greater China Electronic Trading business. Andy also has responsibility for algorithm development as well as execution consultancy in the region. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Andy spent 8 years in proprietary trading. Andy is a CFA Charterholder and graduated with a first honour from the University of Melbourne.

Hongsong Chou

Nomura

Hongsong Chou is Nomura’s Head of Equity Quantitative Analytics and Algorithms, Asia-Pacific, and leads a team of quantitative strategists and developers to develop and implement quantitative models for algorithmic trading and analytics tools for Nomura clients. Hongsong is an expert in global market microstructure studies with recent works in Arrowhead impact on Japan trading, dark pool cross trades analysis and smart order routing algorithm design. Before joining Nomura in 2008, Hongsong worked in the New York and Tokyo offices of Lehman Brothers, where he conducted quantitative research in portfolio optimization and trading cost modeling. Hongsong holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Harvard University.

   
Alan Dean
Global Head of Cross Asset FIX Connectivity

Alan is responsible for developing the global cross asset FIX connectivity value proposition for HSBC. His team provide development and maintenance of the FIX environment and Customer on-boarding including Customer Support services, enabling them to trade Equities, Futures or FX online across the FIX gateways in the US, Europe and Asia.

Alan spent 20 years in Information Technology in the Markets arena, before transferring into the Business area in 2007. Prior to joining HSBC in 2005, Alan was the Chief Technology Officer of E-Crossnet. His experience includes creating an online multi-broker trading environment that enabled straight through processing for Customers orders / executions and FIX enabling the Buy-side Equities Matching environment for E-Crossnet.

Fang Han Lin

Fang Han Lin is the CEO of Hundsun Technologies Inc., a premier financial IT solutions provider in China. The firm is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and employs over 2000 professionals.

A veteran in financial IT, he has witnessed the growth of China's financial services industry from its inception in the '90s. Mr. Fang started his career at Hundsun in 1997, beginning as a software engineer, and subsequently served in a number of different positions, including R&D, team management, sales and marketing as well as business development. Between Jan 2006 and Jan 2010, he headed the Investment Management solutions division, which serves the technological needs of buy-side institutions and provided oversight to Securities solutions division. Mr. Fang was promoted to CEO in Feb 2010. With his experience and insight, he continues to be instrumental in shaping the future of China’s financial IT landscape.

Mr. Fang holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering & Instruments from Zhejiang University and an EMBA from the China-Europe International Business School.

   
Ronald Gould

Ronald Gould is Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific, Chi-X Global. Before joining Chi-X, he served as Senior Advisor at the United Kingdom’s Financial Services Authority and Managing Partner of the Watch House Alliance, a financial services consultancy. He is also the former Chief Executive Officer and founder of ABG Sundal Collier ASA (“ABGSC”), a listed specialist investment bank. Prior to ABGSC, Ron was Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director of AXA Investment Managers. He was previously Vice Chairman of Barclays Bank Global asset management business. Earlier, he founded one of the first international investment groups in the US, one of the first foreign owned trust banks in Japan, as well as successful investment management companies in Asia, Japan, the UK and continental Europe.

   
Chris Jenkins

Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Tora Trading

Chris joined Tora in 2006 as Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region. Tora is a provider of Electronic trading platforms, proprietary Algorithmic strategies and Off market liquidity. Prior to joining Tora, Chris worked in Hong Kong at SWIFT, where he managed the Asian FIX sales team. Before SWIFT, Chris worked for Macgregor, a U.S. based order management system (OMS) provider. In total, Chris has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, seven of which have been in Asia. In addition, Chris is the Co-Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee for FIX Protocol Limited, and has been instrumental in expanding the use of electronic trading throughout Asia.

   
  Edwin Lee
NYSE Technologies


Edwin Lee is part of the Sales team at NYSE Technologies based in Hong Kong covering Sales and Marketing in the Greater China region, who joined the company in Nov-2009 through the NYFIX acquisition. NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext, specialise in providing low latency electronic trading solution including Global FIX network, FIX engine, real time market data and market access gateway to institutional buysides and brokers.

Prior to this, Edwin was a technical account manager with SunGuard for less than a year and FIX consultant with Thomson Reuters around 5 years. Edwin holds a Master in Investment Management from Hong Kong University of Science and Technologies and a bachelor of commence from University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia.

Edwin Lee (李鉴权)为纽约交易所技术公司的销售经理负责大中华地区的市场推广及销售,从 2009 年 11 月通过收购 NYFIX 公司而加入成为香港團隊的一員。

Matthew Lempriere

Matthew Lempriere is responsible for running the Asian market for BT Radianz. As part of BT Global Banking and Financial Markets, the Radianz team are based across the Asian region from Sydney to Singapore. Matthew has been involved in Business Development since the creation of Radianz in 2000 when the company was formed by Reuters and Equant. Matthew’s 20 year career has always been focused on the Financial Services Industry and he has been involved in developing leading innovations such a Proximity Hosting and Ultra-low latency network solutions which Radianz has pioneered. A keen scuba diver, Matthew is a PADI Instructor and has run a Dive Centre located in Phuket, Thailand.

   
David Lin

David Lin joined Deutsche Bank's Autobahn Equity Execution Services in 2009. He is responsible for the bank's electronic trading sales business as well as execution consultancy services for clients in the Greater China region. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, David worked in similar capacity for another global bank based in Hong Kong.

David is a CFA charterholder and has earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

   
Edward Mangles
Regional Director, Asia Pacific, FIX Protocol Ltd, and

Mr. Edward Mangles is the founder and Publisher of FIXGlobal, the official publication of the FIX Protocol. He has a long history within the financial technology sector and has worked closely with FPL for a number of years. He has supported the organisation’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 8 years, playing a key role in promoting FIX adoption across the region. He has also worked for leading financial publishing and marketing firms in both London and Hong Kong. In March 09 Mr. Edward Mangles was appointed FPL Asia Pacific Regional Director.

   
Gordon Morrison

Gordon has a wide experience of the financial industry. He started his career as an investment consultant before gaining further experience in corporate finance, conventional fund management, equity portfolio trading and transition management, derivative and quantitative research and proprietary quantitative trading with an investment bank and a hedge fund. He has worked for Bacon & Woodrow (he was a share partner), Goldman Sachs, SG Warburg, UBS, Commerzbank, WMG and now HSBC.

Gordon holds a degree in mathematics from Cambridge University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a long-standing member of the FTSE Europe/Middle East/Africa Regional Committee. He has also in the past been an examiner for the Institute of Actuaries in Finance & Investment and the Advanced Certificate in Derivatives. He is a member of the professions Disciplinary Pool and sits on the Environmental research group. He is also co-chairman of The Actuarial Profession’s Climate Change and Energy Task Force.

   
Hongjie Qu

Hongjie has many years of Trading and IT experience and he holds a Bachelor degree in Physics as well as a Master degree in Computer Science.

   
Matthew Saul

Matt is responsible for trading Australian equities, as well as managing six other equity traders on the Asia-ex Japan desk, based in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Fidelity eight years ago, Matt spent five years at Citi in Melbourne, first on the sell side, then joining the buy side as an equity dealer.

   

Brook Teeter

Brook Teeter is a Director and Head of Client Trading & Execution Sales for the Asia Pacific Region at Credit Suisse. Brook has been with Credit Suisse for 5 years and is based in Hong Kong. He has been in the financial services industry for over 14 years. Prior to joining Credit Suisse he was the Head of Institutional Sales at E*Trade Financial in Hong Kong and Singapore. Brook has also worked for Javelin Technologies in Hong Kong and San Francisco as the Head of Electronic Sales for Asia and led US sales teams for Gordon, Haskett and Co., a boutique brokerage and Financial Software company in New York and San Diego.

Brook has been an active member of the US and Asia Pacific FPL (FIX Protocol Limited) Steering Committee since 2000 and is active in promoting the protocol throughout the region in his current role of Co-Chair Global Membership Committee. He has previously held the position of Co-Chair of the Asian Education and Marketing Committee and has written and spoken extensively on the subject of FIX and Electronic Trading, regularly attending conferences and meeting with varying exchanges and regulatory bodies across Asia.

Mr. Teeter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and advanced degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Delaware.

   
Dorithy Wang

Dorithy Wang is an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs based in Hong Kong as part of the Pan Asian Electronic Trading team. She is responsible for the development of the analytics product and research on Asian market microstructure.

Originating from Shenzhen, China she graduated from Nankai University with a BS in Mathematical Statistics and then obtained a MSc in Applied Statistics from Columbia University in 2001. After working in America and Asia with ITG and Lehman Brothers, Dorithy joined Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong in 2008.

   
Michael Wang

Michael Wang is Head of Dealing in China Int'l Fund Management Co., which was jointly established in 2004 by Shanghai Int'l Trust & Investment Co. and JP Morgan Asset Management. Before he joined CIFM in Mar 2008, Michael has worked for JP Morgan Asset Management Taiwan as Head Dealer. He has very good experience to help a local desk to cope with increasing global trading needs.

   
Jane Yuan

Jane Yuan is Head of QFII Trading at Haitong Securities. Her team provides trade execution and sales trading service for over ten QFIIs and scores of international institutions. She joined Haitong’s QFII team in 2003 as one of the earliest QFII sales traders in China. Prior to this, Jane was a bond trader for 2 years.
